Swiming with the Sea Lions

We spent all day on a boat tour around the 60 square mile island of Espiritu Santo. We snorkeled with schools of fish, amazing coral, small sting rays, seals, and sea lions just to mention a few. Julie even had her flippers nibbled on by a friendly sea lion (I think the friendly part was that he stopped with the flipper and didn't keep on nibbling his way up her leg).

It was an amazing day! We enjoyed not only the beautiful scenery and animals,
but also spent the day with two great couples from Italy here on their honeymoons
and a young gal from California.

Check out our family photo album page for more picures from our adventures today.
As the Italians would say... ciao~

A day at the beach

We hit the beaches today. Here are a few highlights...

A cool beach called Tecolote - endless beach,
lots of shells and cool rocks, and great water for swimming.

Some giant birds that were diving for fish - it was so amazing to watch them.

Another beach we'll be heading back to soon

We wanted to rent a boat, but these guys weren't looking to friendly, so we decided to pass.

Tomorrow will bring more adventures.

Until then... buenas noches!

New backyard toy!

Thanks to craigslist, we now own our very own basket ball hoop. Feel free to come play!

Backwards day at school

Jadyn's class got to do everything backwards today. The schedule started with a goodbye song and the day ended with a good morning. Jadyn was most excited because she was able to have snack early. It was a fun way to celebrate the last day of regular school for the year.
