Closer and closer...

We have a real roof and all but one window now. All the siding and window trim is sitting in front in all of those boxes. I think next time we go, it may look like a real house!

A morning surprise

Notice the whole roll is empty. The pictures don't really give you the
full story. You will have to use your imagination a little. It is amazing
how much a kitten is like having another child around!

Our quotable Jadyn

"Molly, I am not a scratching post or a mouse. I am a person with legs!" (Heard many times recently - all day long.)

"I was wondering, so I asked myself, but I didn't know the answer. Do you?" (That's all the detail I was given. Obviously, I didn't know the answer either.)

Introducing...

Consider yourself officially introduced to:
Molly Twinkles

(Can you guess who got to name her?)

Woodland Park Zoo

We spent all day Saturday at the zoo courtesy of the Seattle Fire Department and Quadrant Homes. It was a lot of fun. You can check out many more pictures on Foree Family Photos.

We have a roof!

Our newest family member

Here she is. A very adorable, 2 month old ball of fluff, that has already
taken over our hearts. The only thing we don't have is the perfect name.
Please let us know if you have any ideas!
And for those of you wondering...
So far, our other cat doesn't seem to mind the company.
It helps that she comes with a couple of new toys to cuddle with.

A new take on "Dueling Banjos"

Our kids dancing to a classic tune. They love this song, as everyone should!

Another sign that summer is ending...

We are done with swimming for now. Jadyn had a lot of fun working hard
this summer and definitely learned a lot. You can see a few more

Just another fun Thursday...

We went to visit 5 kittens and 1 very cute mommy cat today at our friend Katherine's house. They are so cute. This black one is the one we wanted to take home the most. Not too sure our cat would appreciate the younger company, though.
This picture was just begging to be put on the blog. I couldn't resist!

Excuse #184...

Tonight at dinner, the conversation went like this:

Me: Karina, why aren't you eating your last 2 bites of yummy pizza?
(Keep in mind that this is a big treat- real Pizza Hut pizza for dinner.)

Karina: Shhhhh..it's sleeping. My pizza tired cause of the long ride home.

Me: I didn't know that pizza could get tired. How do you know it is sleeping?

Karina: I tucked it in. Needed to take a nap.

Now I think I have heard every excuse to not want to finish eating. She actually did eat all of it- plus another whole piece after that. I guess pizza doesn't really need that much sleep after all.

Wishing summer sun would last forever...

It's amazing what 24 hours can do... we saw the floors going into our house yesterday,
and today when we drove by, the whole first floor was up and done! Wow!

Our new floor!

Our house is officially started now. We had the first meeting today with
the superintendent. It is exciting to see it coming together.

Combination for fun!

Karina-2, Haley-3, Breanna-7, Isabella-5, Jadyn-4

This truly was the perfect combination for a lot of fun and laughter today at our house. What a great neighborhood gang we have.

Going on a bear hunt...

We found one today at our local Fred Meyer! Both girls were very excited to find him, but once we found him, Karina wasn't so excited to go near him. She settled for playing peek-a-boo and throwing him a couple of kisses. She was intent, however, on continuing to stalk him until we left the store. Thanks to Fred Bear's friend for taking our picture! (I hadn't seen a Polaroid camera for a long time.)

Playtime!

We had so much fun this morning! We were invited to be a part of a playgroup that was going on very close to our house. The kids got to do everything they love: paint, color, playdough, stickers, catch butterflies, walk dogs, dig in the sandbox, play with balls, you name it they got to do it if they wanted..even play with shaving cream. It was a great place to play and make a few new friends. Thank you so much Davia for inviting us and thank you to Teri for letting us mess up your beautiful house for a few hours!

Officially moved in...

Now that we are getting ready to move soon...we finally gave our playhouse an official spot. It lives in the corner of our yard (at least for a little while). I guess it is good to have a practice yard to try things out in before we make it again in a brand new backyard.

A nice walk outside

We went on a walk around our neighborhood before dinner tonight. It ended up including most of the neighborhood children, also. Lots of fun. Jadyn brought her camera along so that she could tell "a walk story" with pictures. Check our our Foree Family Photos link to see her "story".

Daddy's Home!

We were very excited to pick Daddy up at the airport. The girls couldn't wait
to get home- they even "carried" his luggage for him!

A captive audience

Karina has spent a lot of time this week reading all of her library books to her favorite friends. If she thinks that one of them is not understanding her, she will move them a little closer and start the story over again . She is very patient with them and constantly makes sure that they are doing okay. So sweet to see.

They made it!

Chad and Mark arrived safely and happily in New Orleans early this evening. Now he gets to relax for a couple of days and enjoy time with good friends.

Sad thoughts...

"Can we bring Isabella with us to our new house when we move?"

Jadyn is realizing there are some things that we can't box up and take with us to our new house.
