May Picnic

It was another beautiful, warm day today. After church, the girls wanted to eat their lunches outside, so they sat at their table under the "sun" umbrella and enjoyed their chicken nuggets, cheese, crackers, and milk in their matching dresses.

I can hold my sister!

What a proud big sister ~ And what big, blue eyes!

Swimming Again

The girls started swimming lessons last night. Jadyn has had lessons several times, so she took to the water like a shark. She remembered all her tricks, floating very well, bobbing well, and working hard to swim like a pro. It's been a while (last summer) since we had lessons, so we put her in a more basic class to review, and she's doing great.

(don't worry... she's just floating)

Karina, on the other hand, has been very tentative in the water, and this was her first official lesson. Needless to say, we were a little aprehensive about how she would do, even to the point of resigning ourselves to paying for lessons and calling it a success even if she never really got in the water. But she surprised us both - getting in quickly, warminig up to her teacher well, and even letting her teacher pull her around the pool on her front and back.
Way to go, Karina and Jadyn!

A mighty fortress

The girls wanted to build a fort today. So we extended the chairs out from the dining room table, and then put a few blankets over both the table and the chairs to make a giant fort. After playing for a long time, the girls decided to work on their homework in the fort.

3 Months Old

Here's our little Makenzie at 3 months old. She's actually a week older than this now, but this was last week's picture. She's such a cutie!

Spring Sunshine

The girls spent some time chasing a bunny in the backyard. The sun was shining and the temperature was mild, so they chased after it in their Sunday dresses.

They were so cute - whispering to each other and slowly stalking through the yard like a lioness on the hunt. They had a camera, and they knew how to use it. Watch out, bunny!
The bunny was fast - they got close, but couldn't quite catch it. But we caught a few great pictures of the girls afterwards.

The Sweetest Sounds

We captured a little video of Makenzie cooing and talking today.
