Flower Girls

Both Jadyn and Karina got to be a part of Lisa Fast & Jory Rhinehart's wedding today as flower girls. They did a great job walking down the aisle, leaving little flower petals in their wake, and drawing lots of smiles and "aaahhh's" from the gathered crowd.

Afterwards, we enjoyed dancing and reconnecting with friends at the reception. It was a beautiful wedding and a priviledge for our girls to be a part of the ceremony.

Wednesday at the Mariners Game

This last week we took the girls to the Mariner's game. Everyone wore their Mariner's garb, and we cheered our team on.

The girls had a blast! We got Mariner's hot dogs and sodas (part of the family deal!) and ate lots of popcorn and peanuts. I even bought a small package of cracker jacks to bring - the kids know the "Take me out to the ballgame" song well, but they didn't know what cracker jacks were. Unfortunately, they weren't a hit. Here's the face Jadyn made when she tried them:

During the middle inning breaks, they would show different fans up on the big screen. I told the girls that if they danced hard enough, they might make it onto the screen. So every break, our girls jumped up and showed off their moves. They never did make it onto the TV, but they had a blast trying.

We left at the end of the 8th when the score was still 0-0, and in the bottom of the 14th, our Mariner's finally squeezed in the winning run and won the game 1-0. Way to go, Mariners!

Camping Again

We were able to sneak away again this last weekend with the extended family and had a great time camping at Lake Easton State Park. We had temperature extremes - about 95 degrees outside (with no real breeze) and lake water temperature in the 40's from snow melt. We ate s'mores, enjoyed many laughs, adventured in the woods, and relished the time with family.

Lost another tooth

Now she's officially lost both top front teeth. It was pretty exciting, too, as she lost her tooth on the first day of our camping trip. We put it in a bag and brought it home for the tooth fairy.
Now, how are you supposed to take a bite of a big hamburger with no front teeth?
